Welcome back to the ALIAS newsletter ;)
We are welcoming in this new moon with a wondrous joy to align with what we are truly about. We are really proud of the fruition of this project as we have poured so much into this process while capturing such a vulnerable state.
As we release fear/sorrow/guilt/shame. We are calling in raising the vibration of accountability for the future restructuring fate by manifesting new dreams in this dimension. Taking the present steps required to show up authentically. New beginnings of abundance by aligning actions with values.
Here is our ceremonial epilogue of “Be Like Water”.
THE STATE OF THE LAND AND PEOPLE
Over the second half of the year 2021, we began observing, processing, and coordinating an initiative in response to Hurricane Ida.
Our goal is to raise funds and continue to create awareness within our national and international communities supporting local programs in holistic climate change preparedness.
We almost instantly had to create space to process the aftermath of seeing our family be devastated and watching from the other side of the country with a feeling of sincere pain and deep wonder about how we could help.
We immediately began compiling our resources for those we knew personally and found a lack of initiation for our people. This campaign hopes to stimulate conversation, calling artists into the space of developing and designing our present future here on Earth.
“BE LIKE WATER” is a recorded compilation of our process as we observed ourselves experiencing the catalytic impact of Hurricane Ida and triggering climate events worldwide.
Individual vs. Collective Healing
Today, we’re often faced with the illusion that if it is not happening directly to you, it isn't happening at all.
INDIVIDUALLY - Initial response may come in the form of emotion, passion, or even inspiration.
COLLECTIVELY - Change in environment, Organization of people; for further reach; new rhythms, new programs - Shift in culture or paradigm.
This facade is built through the severe naïveté of the principles of balance within the fundamental laws of nature.
(ie. Survival, self-preservation vs. procreation, and self-actualization.)
Call and Response
Call and Response is the ancestral form of resonance.
Be Like Water is our call to action for artists who are ready to incorporate nu earth mediums into their work.

ALGORITHMS OF RESPONSE
Collectively, we hold social media to such a high standard; accessibility to “news” and the status of current events justifies its priority in our daily lives.
If this is the case, there must be intentional organization within our community and access to the right resources and tools for prepared action toward real change. (See: Ujaama)
Otherwise, we are faced with the ongoing cycle of consuming trauma with no space to process and resuming trauma-inducing patterns in search of relief. These results have made themselves clear with the growing trend of people disconnecting from social media and socializing in general.
Our goal is to bring awareness within our national and international communities to support local programs in holistic climate change preparedness.
